It may be the vacations for many of you, but at Datelist, the team has been hard at work. In addition to improving our interface, we’ve been offering you more and more features to make our booking system simple and flexible. But that’s not all.

You now have the possibility to manage all of your customers’ reservations electronically using our API.

What is an API?

First of all, let’s try to set the basics. You are probably wondering what an API is and how it could be useful to you. Let me explain it to you.

An API is a programming interface, a language for communication between software. It is a computer layer that facilitates the exchange between your company’s data and that of our software. An API allows you to easily and automatically manipulate a set of data, where it is not possible to do so through our interface.

In other words, it is a tool for developers that allows you to save time by creating automation scripts for Datelist.

What can I do with the Datelist API?

That’s the interesting part. The Datelist API will allow you to do whatever you want with Datelist data, at the cost of a little setup effort on your end.

Do you want to export your customers’ data periodically? Do you want to delete your customer data after a certain date? All this is possible, and much more. The only limit is your imagination.

Ok, but… How much does it cost

Good news, the Datelist API is already included in every Premium subscription to our platform. Existing users of the basic and free plans can benefit from it directly from our application, by opting for the higher plan.

I want to use the API, where do I start?

The first question to ask yourself is whether you already have basic computer programming skills. If not, the first step is to find an IT partner who can implement the API integration.

Once the decision of the person in charge of the integration has been made, all you have to do is to send him the technical documentation of our API: https://apidoc.datelist.io

This documentation contains all the technical information necessary to carry out all the frequent constructions based on our API.

If you have any questions or problems using our API, please do not hesitate to contact us at alexis@datelist.io
